Geoff will be conducting a special Sparkling Masterclass covering methods of fermenting Australian sparkling wines through tank, transfer and traditional methods. The wines will be tasted throughout the Masterclass!

Presented by Dr Geoff Scollary, retired Foundation Professor Of Oenology at Charles Sturt University, Foundation Director of the National Wine and Grape Industry Centre. He is a former convener of the University House Tasting Panel.

    Join us for an exploration of the styles of fortified red wines and their method of production. The wines will be sourced from Australia (Rutherglen) and Portugal (Douro). Differences and similarities in production strategies of the two countries will be supported by tastings of ruby, tawny and vintage styles.

    Presented by Dr Geoff Scollary, Retired Foundation Professor of Oenology at Charles Sturt University and Foundation Director of the National Wine and Grape Industry Centre. He is a former convenor of the University House Tasting Panel and now writes a monthly ‘grapevine’ column for Chemistry in Australia.

    Geoff will present a range of fortified red wines produced by Stanton and Killeen and Pfeiffer wines (Australia), and Fonseca (Portugal).
