Membership
University House, founded in 1952, holds a special place in the hearts of members of the University of Melbourne community.
As the Staff Club of the University of Melbourne, University House provides all staff with a place on campus to relax and socialise within our vibrant social and academic community; drop in to meet fellow staff, graduate students, and alumni from a diverse range of faculties and disciplines.
We have three venues, at Professors’ Walk, at the Woodward (Level 10 of the Melbourne Law School in Pelham Street, Carlton) and at Lionel’s (in Grant Street on the Southbank campus).
Staff do not need to be members of University House to enjoy the facilities, and can access the Club by simply swiping their Staff ID Card at the card readers upon arrival.
All new staff and alumni can sign up for membership, with their subscription fee waived for the first 12 months.
All PhD candidates are eligible for free membership for the duration of the studies (up to 4 years).
